How to remove requirement to have admin comfirm/approve registration?
Is there a way to have a new person registering to have their email auto confirmed and be allow to have access the forum?

Hello yes this can be done however if you forum is new or has not got a lot of member then it will stay on until you get more members and your forum is used more.

But Please try the following settings to see if its set right.

ACP    Users & Groups    Users Users options
New accounts activation : set to user.

SAVE.

Now all your members will get an Email when they make an account on your forum.
Remember the system will only work if your forum is used often.
