Custom Domain Error for CNAME Redirect

When the problem appeared : When I began to try and add a custom Domain.

Description of problem

I am getting an error when I try to add a custom domain to my forum. The error is...

The supplied domain name is not well configured
Your CNAME must redirect to : xenadmins.forumotion.com

I have my domain directing to that as the instructions in this link provide.
https://help.forumotion.com/t7021-cname-redirect-an-extern-domain-name-that-you-own-to-your-board

But it does not work at all. Any help?

Did you add it in the ACP


What hosting company are you using?


These records can take a while to update. When i use my domain for my personal website ( linked to an ip ) i had to wait at least 6 hours!

How long have you waited?

I have tried to add it in the ACP but it didn't go through and just gave me an error. I am currently having my domain hosted by GoDaddy as well.

What do you get when you go to the url ?

try removing the CNAME record for godaddy

If you are getting an Error on your ACP when you try and add your domain name to it then you have not set it up right in your Godaddy account you will need to call them and talk to them about it as we do not really give support for Godaddy.

We only give support on our own domain names done by the ACP
