Solved Re: Bots problems.

Hello,

Yes it is possible. Please keep in mind though that by not allowing bots (including Google, Yahoo, Bing), it could drastically effect your forum's search engine optimization (SEO) which could effect the placement of your forum on search engines. The reason for this is because search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing rely on the bots for information and updates about your forum and if they the bots cant visit to collect this information, the these search engines cant update your forum in their search engines.

For more information and if you still REALLY want to prevent bots from coming on your forum, please look at this tutorial: https://help.forumotion.com/t55170-bots-who-and-what-they-are .

I would strongly recommend reading the entire tutorial before doing anything else. Wink
