Login problem
Hi
One of my members seems to be having an issue logging into my forum http://freeman-cruisers.forumotion.co.uk/
His username is Jim Wills
I've reset his password and tested it, all appears good to me, but he still can't log in.
He doesn't seem to be getting any error messages after hi log in attempt fails, so I'm a bit stumped.
Any ideas
Kind regards
Pat

Hello,
May you please tell us what the error message the user gets is?

Re: Login problem
Hi
As mentioned above, he tells me he's not getting an error message.
He's tried two different devices with different browsers and sent his username and password back to me

Re: Login problem
So no error message, but the member is not logged in?

Re: Login problem
Seems to be.
I would have suggested clearing the cache as mentioned above, but iPads are pretty good at that and he's tried on two devices
No error message, just does not work for me! Tried again this morning on my iPad, still does not work! At bottom of page PERMISSIONS: Cannot Post Cannot Reply wrote:

Re: Login problem
Do you have Delete Forum Cookies active? If so, tell him to hit that link at the bottom right of the forum index, and then try logging in again. There may be user violations on the server that require his login cookie to be reset. Edit: He should be viewing the forum in Desktop mode, not mobile mode for this to work.
If this does not serve to work, then perhaps checking Safari Preferences to ensure third party cookies can be saved. If all else fails, tell him to reset Safari Preferences, using the Reset button. If he does not want to reset Safari, then tell him to clear website data: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201265
Let us know of outcome.

Re: Login problem
Deleting forum cookies didn't help, but clearing the history did
