how to automatically send a welcome message to new members

hi as i struck gold a minute ago, with your last response, is it possible to enter a welcome message somewhere in the admin side which is automatically sent out to new members?

Hello yes i can help you with that.

ACP >> General tab >>  Private messages >>
Private Messaging :   Enabled
Allow welcome private message :  Enabled
Message subject : Welcome to *******
Welcome private message * : Type in the big box

now this will send a new PM to all NEW members when they first log on your forum.
 NOTE:
No old members will get this as the system was only just turned on.

lol I'm glad you think so lol it's easy for me I have been doing it for little over 6 years and can find things fast now.

Please also think about looking over your ACP and getting to know that parts that you have.
Here at FM (Forumotion) we have the most easiest system to work with slick and simple and it is not as hard as you think. just a case of remembering where things go and we split it in to easy steps.

to be honest, not being a computer person the automatic answers thingy make me tear my hair out as i may not use the correct terminology hence my direct questions , and your amswers have been spot on and quick so much appreciated
