How to close your forum down with maintenance message

Please how do I close my forum down in a such a way that only the "maintenance message" will be shown. I've already done that by going to the AP - Configuration - forum in construction - Yes and 7 remaining days.

After checking the homepage the site still remain the same, all topics and replies still conspicuous. I need your help.

Hi did you disconnect after putting it in construction? Why not, you as an admin can see it connected.

Hello,

Yes as stated you must log out of your admin account to notice the changes as an admin is allowed to see the whole forum and reply to topics and do whatever, even while in construction mode.
