Solved Posting html links directly?

Post by Zordon October 1st 2017, 9:55 pm

I tried enabling HTML via control panel and in my profile as well, but just wondering can you just copy/paste an html link in forumotion without having to put the code in the "Insert a link"? Because as it is now it "sees" the link a single text. I remember that in the past things were otherwise and you didn't have to do this. So is it possible to change it again somehow? In my forum many members are unfamiliar of using buttons for posting links like this

Well you can just post the link in the editor without the button, but there is an issue when you edit the post.  It will become unclickable when you edit the post.

I know that this button all it does is putting [url][/ur] between the link. So there no option to just always include this when posting links? Have this changed for security reasons? I remember a few years back it wasn't needed to put the link in the button

It was never like that.

It still is not necessary to use the button.

For Example:  https://help.forumotion.com/

But if I edit my post, the link will not be clickable when I send the edited post.

I see. I also just noticed that sometimes I forget to click Switch Editor Mode before posting an html that's why it appears as text. I think the topic can be locked. Thanks for clearing it out
