Description of problem
Hello,Our group is new to Forumation and we are still trying to get everything off the ground. We are trying to figure out if we can have multiple user names (Characters) attached to the same email address, or do we have to create a new email address to have multiple user names (Characters) for our RP forum. Thanks in advance for the help to this question.
Re: Just trying to figure out if we can have multiple user names for the same email address on the same forum
The work around I used is to sign up the second 'ghost' member with an alternative email address. Log out, sign in as the Admin, then change the email address and save. This can be done only one at a time. Keep one pw for all of them makes it easier.
Getting new members to a brand new forum that looks like a ghost town is hard, unless you have an extensive social media. I concluded the best way is to have patience, b/c even if I 'sign up' three, four or five fake members, I'd essentially be talking to myself, and that's seriously funny.
This might help with it not looking so unpopulated while you wait for prospective members to find you:
To Hide Who Is Online and the Stats at the lower bottom on the front page, go to:
AP > Display > Homepage > Structure & Hierarchy
Hierarchy Section
Display viewonline information box on index: Never

It is not advised you have the same Email address for more then one account.
If one account is hacked it is easy to hack all of the account's also NEVER have more then one account with the same password as this can also be more easy to hack account's.

Are you trying to have it where one member has more than one account?

That is exactly what we are trying to do. We want to be able to have multiple characters for the same person, since our group is so small at the moment.
