Solved Adsense Issue (All other options exhausted)

Post by Chellizard Sat 23 Jun - 3:52

    Technical Details

    Forum version : #phpBB3
    Position : Founder
Concerned browser(s) : Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, Other
Who the problem concerns : All members
When the problem appeared : Since the new packets were implemented.
    Forum link : http://superhero-rpg.com

    Description of problem

Ads are not yet displaying on my forum.

I referred to this link (https://www.forumotion.com/ads.txt) to verify that my site's ads.txt information was included. It seems it is.

Also, I think I am confused on how meta tags work... I've read the "how to do it" but I feel like I'm not understanding what information I need to add to it. It would be great if I could maybe get like... a hint in the correct direction. Please and thank you.

So you purchased a package and removed the ads, now you are trying to add your ads?

Yes. I have my ads.txt file set up, but I have no yet set up the Meta Tags... but I do not know how to set up the Meta Tags, and the "how to set up metatags" thread on here is no help. It just says "Here is the area that you do it" not, "here is how you do it."

Did Google give you a code to add as a meta tag?

I don't recall anything. But even so, I do not know how to add it or what to add it as. There's "RSS" "CSS Sheet" or "javascript" but I just don't recall seeing one. I can check again.

Please read my answer in this similar topic

Our Ads.txt files are up to date and we sent them back online at the end of last week. if despite this the problem persists, it unfortunately does not depend on us. You can contact Google for any complaint regarding this fact.

I did contact Google and they stated it could take a month. I believe I've set up my MetaTags properly, however...

It still feels as if you guys do not know what I am meaning.

When setting up additional tags, does it quite literally mean for me to make a javascript code page using a code provided from Google Adsense and then paste it into the metatag field for javascript?

That is not what the meta tags are for. Usually it is just a line of code. You do not use the whole code, but just 2 parts of the code.

Solved Re: Adsense Issue (All other options exhausted)

I've looked into it more, and still no dice. I feel as if I'm doing something very wrong with my code or perhaps placing it incorrectly.

I have an active Adsense account. I have a forum/site that has 9 years of history on it with great reputation. We generate tons of traffic due to our topic.

I'm just not convinced this is a google issue. I feel as though it's an error on Forumotion's end. Ads would run with no issues on my site before I paid to disable for guests and members. Now I pay a monthly subscription to disable ads (Going on month 3 or 4 now) and still no ads have run on my site.

Google explained it could take anywhere from a week to a month; and it's surpassed that. I keep getting insane errors when I inspect the page, and I see the ad code in my forum's page code. It makes no sense to me why it wouldn't be displaying ads.

Note the errors. Means that the ads should be there, but something is preventing them from running.

Note the code is clearly in my page's source code.

    EDIT:

I think I may have figured it out. Can we please keep this open so I can update you guys and let you know what if I have figured it out or not.

    We'll see. Fingers crossed.
