Solved Creating a hidden forum

Post by fionnghal on July 4th 2018, 4:12 pm

Hi. Have looked to see if there is an answer to this but couldn't find one.

In my forum (Internet Bonsai Club) I would like to set up a forum that is visible and accessible only by members of a particular usergroup. The Glossary indicates that a group can access "hidden" forum areas. Does it need to be a closed group?

Is this possible, and if so, how do I do it? I have set up the group but since the current members are all Admins or Moderators of the main forum, I am not sure if we can see stuff other non-group members can't.

I know I must have done this for the Moderator only areas on our existing forum but I just can't remember how I did it.

Okay, between some fiddling about and the response above, I have now managed to sort the issue without breaking my forum.
