Who the problem concerns:
My entire forum in general. I currently have 800 credits yet it won't let me purchase premium for my forum. It says I forcibly have to pay using PayPal again which I find irrelevant cause I already have 800 credits to purchase this:
  • Enabling Premium Package (Monthly Payment) -600
  • Disabling ads for members and guests - 160 = 760 Credits

It should've automatically done this without me doing this manually cause I already had the credits.

hello

please read this https://help.forumotion.com/t155627-forumotion-packages#1070901

Attention, the monthly subscription to a package is only possible by Paypal (the PayPal account has to be linked to a valid card or bank account).

This doesn't really help at all. So now I'm stuck with 800 credits (cash which came out of my wallet) to spend on nothing? This is outrageous and absurd.

Hello!
I can understand your frustration and I am sorry you are experiencing issues with this. If you go to where you have to pay the 600 credits for 1 month of premium, it says in parenthesis (Subscription via PayPal). Meaning it becomes a monthly billing agreement between Forumotion and PayPal. If you wish to use your credits in your current account, you would need to do a 1 year which costs 6,000 credits, not a monthly subscription that comes out on 1 specific day each month.

Regarding what @skouliki had quoted to you, it actually fits perfectly for this because if you are wanting to do the monthly subscription, it specifically says that it can only be done with PayPal. Meaning current credits on your account cannot be used for the monthly subscription.

Hope this helps clear things up.

Regards,
James

I still don't agree with this. This is actually money which I have sitting there. Your answers don't resolve anything. Can't an actual Administrator of Forumotion help me out here. Where is the customer service for us who actually invest money towards you guys?

Hello @Katakuri,

I am so sorry you are having this problem today.
Sadly the new system come in to play some time in April.
We never wanted to make this big change but as you know the price of everything has gone up all over the world and to keep our systems open to you and everyone else we had NO choice but make this change.

To pay for a monthly system you will not get to use your credits you already have you will have to pay by paypal only

If you want to pay for a one year then you can use the credits you have right now but you will have to update your credits first to make the right total.

Please also note that once your have done your package you will have to have some more credits to hand

Here is a rundown you must read before making your choice on if you want to pay out or not.

Sadly there is no one else that will tell you any different than i have here.

Sadly there is nothing else can be done to help you.

For more information on a refund of credits you can check the Refund section of the Terms of Service provided in the link below.

https://www.forumotion.com/terms-of-service

But for more information, this is a quote from @APE on a different topic regarding a refund as well.

APE wrote:Purchases and refunds

forumotion.com provides Users with optional paid services, such as "packages", domain name, or advertisements removal. By subscribing to one of these services, the User agrees to pay forumotion.com the monthly or annual subscription fee indicated. Payments are debited in advance on the day he purchases the service and cover its use for the chosen monthly or annual subscription period.
The purchase of products and services from forumotion.com entitles the buyer to a right of withdrawal within 15 days of the purchase, unless such products and services have been used in any way. In this case, the withdrawal period ends and it becomes impossible to cancel the purchase or obtain a refund. Outside the withdrawal period, no products or services are refundable, even if they have not been used and have not expired.
The credits expense, the subscription to a "package", the purchase of a domain name or the use of any service such as the deletion of advertisements is, within the meaning of these Terms, a "use" of a paid service. The User expressly consents by these Terms that these services may be provided before the expiry of the withdrawal period, resulting in the waiver of this period.
The modalities of exercise of the withdrawal and refund period provided by the present Terms do not concern the paying products and services purchased through a third-party partner of forumotion.com (contact directly the partner in this case, which will decide at its sole discretion whether or not to proceed with the refund). The withdrawal period and refunds do not concern products offered by forumotion.com, including but not exclusively during a contest.
To exercise its right of withdrawal for a paid service which has not been "used" in accordance with the provisions and which does not fall under the exclusion cases mentioned above, the User may contact forumotion.com directly: or +334.92.02.15.76.
If the User believes that forumotion.com has billed him in error, he should contact the company within 90 days of the concerned billing. No refunds will be given for fees charged more than 90 days ago.
forumotion.com reserves the right to refuse a refund request if there are reasons to believe that the User is trying to take unfair advantage of this refund policy (for example, by repeated requests for refunds for the same service or product), if he is violating these Terms or if forumotion.com has reasons to suspect that he is using the services fraudulently or that the User account is being used fraudulently by a third party.
This refund policy has no impact on the User statutory rights.

Hope this helps.
