Description of problem
Since about 3/1/19 everyone once in awhile I have to go thru a Capcha thing where I have to choose pictures of cars, buses, etc to prove "I'm not a robot" when I post. Why is this thing suddenly appearing. I just spend 5 minutes going thru one with fuzzy pictures and was hard to tell what was a car and what wasn't!! I don't want this thing to appear on my group!! Please help!

Re: Capcha
Hello,
This occurs if you do a lot of 'actions' in a very short period of time. For instance, if you move, lock, or sometimes even post a ton of times in just a couple minute time frame, it will 'alert' our anti spam system.
Basically its a safety measure to protect forums against spam bots that often post a lot in a just short period of time.
This should go away on it's own after a couple of hours. The way to avoid this is try not to do many thing back to back within only a couple minute time frame.

We had to get rid of the option to disable captcha because was penalizing our seo for forums without proper captcha measures in place.

Re: Capcha
SEO is already penalized enough by the inherent slowness of the forums and the fact they are not mobile friendly. Probably a couple other reasons. What I dont understand is how this captcha actually changes anything related to SEO. Actually I'm wondering if you really know what SEO means. Nonetheless, I'd be surprised if this captcha will not cause problems on my almost-ready forum.

Re: Capcha
I am just telling you the reason the company cited for it's removal. Anyway, this happens very rarely and as I said earlier, it only happens when someone is performing many actions back to back in a short period of time.
@VestaAdmin is this still occurring for you or has it gone away?

Hello,
The behaviour described is completely normal. It's not new and has been available on our forums since the creation of our service. It has nothing to do with repeated user actions and even less with SEO! It is a pure and simple anti-spam measure that is triggered if the system detects abnormal behaviour, especially in terms of posted content.
It's for your forums security that this procedure exists, hence the fact that you cannot disable it. Indeed in some cases and I grant you it is triggered by prevention for non-spammers users but compared to all the invasive spam it blocks it can not be disabled because it remains an effective way to fight against aggressive spam.
I spend my time posting messages on our forums in different languages and at no time do I meet the captcha for the simple reason that what i post post contains no suspicious content..
So, the captcha only triggers if there is a valid reason and it remains Google reCAPTCHA that a user can easily validate.
In any case, we apologize for the inconvenience caused but it is a necessary evil to guarantee the quality and security of your service.
Thank you for your understanding

Re: Capcha
Thanks for all the info. Actually it only started since I began using Microsoft Edge as my browser. I was using IE11 but it was slow and my new Dell computer actually runs faster with Edge. Ok well I guess we will just deal with it. Its just a pain to try to find "cars" or "buses" on the fuzzy pictures at times and I may miss one so it does more pictures and can take a long time to complete it correctly.

Re: Capcha
Does this come up every time you post or only on certain occasions?

Re: Capcha
It just comes up randomly it seems. I will be on my group and post something and before it will post the capcha will pop up. I don't think it has anything to do with how many times I have posted as it has come up when I am doing my first post or when I was doing a 4th or 5th post. Very random.
