Description of problem

Hi

Some help please

I had a email from admin ( I am a moderator on our forum ) asking if I had sent a email with a image of my inbox on the forum… (image attached)

I said to him why would I send you a image of my inbox!

So I went onto my account and they has been a guest who as been sending emails and private message to the membership..(guest cannot come on the forum until now as that’s how we want it)

We have been running the forum for 10 years now without security problems until now. How can we sort this out as someone is coming onto the forum as a guest and personally messaging and emailing members

Have I been hacked if so I have change my password what else can I do!

this is just the usual contact form at the bottom of your forum



you need to change the settings, deactivate it or just change the recipients

I understand that and acted on........ it but how has this person got a image of my outbox and sent it to the email address of the Admin of the forum that not secure is it..

If you have already changed the password of the forum, also change for security, the password of the administrator's mail and that person should not see your inbox. It means that that person had your credentials, at some point you facilitated those credentials to someone, to fix something in your forum ???. If the answer is no then is that you had a very unsafe password, you must put strong passwords with letters and numbers, which have nothing to do with you, such as date of births, proper names, and which also contain special symbols such as @ # &, Ex: @ Forumotion89754 #
