First topic message reminder :

Hello!

I can not connect to my forums. It gives an error: 102503

I heard that such an error occurs in many users of this service, and there are people who for three years cannot log in to their forums.

Where there is no guarantee that if I pay for several forums a year, I will not get such a surprise as a result?

I can't even go to the tech support forums!

Now I managed to do it simply, but such a chance fell over time.

This is an explanation? ....

Good evening I have been asked to pass this on to you so you know what we are facing,

I come back to you with an inventory. I summarize the situation so that those who joined us along the way can understand and follow.

Since yesterday late afternoon, a critical technical problem has appeared on several main servers causing their restart randomly and continuously. This has led to problems affecting a large part of our services (creation of forums, registration on forums, access to topics, post messages, upload and display images, access to administration, ... etc.).

Our technical team is working on it continuously since last night and it is part of the night ahead. Although we managed to stabilize the situation in the late morning some of these servers seem to relapse. Which explains why the problems you encounter appear and disappear over the hours?

In any case, we want you to know that we are continuing to work on it to find a stable solution and return to the system back to normal as soon as possible. In the meantime, some of the problems already encountered may arise or evolve. This will be normal until the technical maintenance is complete.

You can always report here the nature of the problem encountered by making sure to be precise, explicit and providing screenshot and link to view it. Nevertheless, try if possible to read the problems already reported before posting to avoid duplication and therefore a waste of time to sort on our side .

Also, I want to clarify that these problems have nothing to do with the update of the graphic of Servimg site operated last Friday. The fact that they appeared 2 days after this update is pure chance. Indeed, the update Servimg being a refresh of the visual identity of the site and these inconveniences met since yesterday being a pure fruit of an unexpected technical problem on servers of data base.

In any case, and as each emergence of technical problem, we ask you to arm yourself with patience, avoid making changes or have a significant activity on your forums and wait for the return to normal before take stock.

Hi,
Thank you for your explanation and update, judging by the number of messages I have received this afternoon it is obvious that there were also some problems today too ;-) the forum I manage is entirely in French so thanks to your teams here for the announcement on their french facebook page, it made it much easier for me to keep my members updated and them not to suffer my rubbish translations Laughing

I have updated my Announcement post with a progress report as you will see i have added a solved icon to the ones that have been fixed.

My forum is horribly slow. There hasn't been any change since last night. It's still very slow with timeouts and error messages. It's actually worse all day.

It is also happening on the support forum. We just have to wait for updates from the main office (France).

Hello,

A small point this morning. We had managed to stabilize servers between 8pm and 2am last night. Nevertheless, we have seen new problems from 2am this morning and which continue until now.

So don't be surprised if you always have problems on your forums. We are doing our best to stabilize the situation and will keep you informed of the work progress.

Just going to add this in here. Like SarkZKalie I'm finding missing images, alot of them. Not from 7img since I don't use it, but I've got missing images from servimg and hitskin and most of the basic images like the calendar icon, participating mini icon, etc. as well as missing user avatars. And my servimg folders won't display any of the images in them even though it still has the correct image count and amount of pages where images should be. Anybody else?

please wait until everything is stabilized before taking stock of the situation and report what is wrong because currently, in the middle of a technical problem, problems emerge and disappear randomly and it is useless to ask if others have the same thing because it is a generalized problem... :rose:

Hello @Linda Smith-Howell

You say that you are missing post and topic's can you give us the URL of where the topic's and posts are missing We don't want the address of your forum.

What you need to do is go to where the posts was and then copy the URL on your browser.
A screen shot of that same place should be added if you can.

If you have lost all your topic's please tell us what the name of the topic's was called so we can take a look for you.

It maybe that some data was lost when the servers went down so we would need to run a backup our end to see if the posts come back.

If they was NEW posts done from Sunday daytime then this was when our systems was not working right this means they was never saved to our servers and that means sadly they are lost but if they was made a long time then we can try and find them.

We need to know when they was made.

Please note that in order not to lose content, we have used backups to restore the content of some forums during the last 48 hours. It is therefore possible that elements modified since the date of these backups may reappear. This remains normal because the backup restores the forum as it was when it was established.
