Hey there, i saw a topic in which you guys made a transparent background Icon for forum topics.

I converted my image to png (without background) but when i upload it to the icon spot changes his background to white and within a square.

Can you tell me what im doing wrong?

The icon is suposed to be only the 3 "towers".

Solved Re: Transparent Background Icon

Hi ^^

If your image is more than 768 k weight, it will be "optimized" once uploaded on Servimg in order to take less place on their servers. "Optimized" means also image might lose its transparency and/or its animation.
So you can :
- reduce its weight before uploading it
- choose another host than Servimg
- Upgrade to Servimg PRO -> Servimg & Servimg PRO

If you don't know how to reduce yourself your image's weight, this site is a good deal

Link to your Last Graphics Request:
    Detailed Description:

please read first our rules https://help.forumotion.com/t147586-rules-of-the-graphic-design-section

it depends on the program you are using and the type of the file you saving the image
in general, JPEGs don’t support transparent backgrounds so instead, its better to use a format such as GIF, TIF or PNG

i will give an example if you are using Gimp ...
if the image mode is set to Indexed Color, then the export doesn’t seem to accept the added alpha channel...
so if you do ..Image ..Mode .. RGB..File .. Export As... imagename.png
should be export the image with the alpha channel, and transparency

note: alpha channels are masks through which you can display images...the alpha channel is an 8-bit channel, which means it has 256 levels of gray from 0 (black) to 255 (white). ...

as i said before feel free to open a new graphic request if you need any help with your image

topic moved,locked and solved
