In progress How to get started...

Post by esquirekb on December 13th 2019, 9:25 pm

I followed the a link that said: "Get started with a forum in minutes and start using it quickly" but all I see is a lot of confusing information and I have no idea what to do first. It seems like this website was created for programmers who actually understand most of the language here. But for a person like me who already has a website, but wants to add a forum to it, I'm just hopelessly lost.

Where is the "START Here" button?
Where do I create the forum?
How do I integrate the forum into my website?

My searches on this site for these three basic questions have yielded no results. Not even on your FAQs page.
WTF???

Somebody please tell me what do to with this site.

Hello there.

First of all welcome to our forum support!
To create a new forum, simply visit: https://www.forumotion.com
From there, there are simple steps on how to create a forum. After that, you can simply add it to your website by adding the link to it and doing the same to your forum so it can go back to your website.

Regards,
TC.

Wow, thanks for the links for getting me started. I'm now in the start of creating a new forum. However, I don't want to simply add a (link) in my website and have everyone come to this site for forum discussions. That would really suck to have my clients toggle between two sites. What I want to do is keep them on my site and embed the forums on my site. Please let me know if there is no way to do this. If not, then I need to stop and find another forum source.

Oh crap! I just read your answer for another user who asked the same question:
https://help.forumotion.com/t146235-can-you-embed-a-forummotion-forum-on-your-website
I just spent the past 2.5 hours building a forum for nothing. There is no way I would send my members to a totally different website for forum discussion. I hope you folks fix this one day. That's a critical feature for most people.
