Founder passed away a few years ago

Description of problem

Long story short, The site founder was a good friend and passed away a few years ago. Teh gaming group we hosted the PHPBB for went defunct and we parted ways. Recently me and another co-founding member of our group decided to try and recoup assets of our old community for nostalgia sake. I WAS STARBURST007 on the forum and an administrator at one point. not sure why but i'm being told my email is no longer associated to that username although i have in my personal email coorespondence from back then showing otherwise. Could somebody reset my password or at least give me the email i need to get my login credentials. THNE if possible i need to go through the process of changing ownership to myself since our founder passed. I can provide documentation on that if necessary also.

Are you still an Administrator to the forum?

Well, we can only help the founder with his/her account.  The tool we used only deals with the founder's account and the forum, not members.
