Maintenances are getting out of hand
Hello
In recent months something has happened with server maintenance processes, as nowadays it is happening multiple times a week and sometimes for nearly 30-60 minutes. In a larger forum that is not acceptable, as basically 24/7 someone is online and they are disappointed.
Why is it happening so often? Why is it happening on „prime time“ in Europe (afternoon)?
Shouldn’t there be a specific time for that, so users can have a warning, and not at random times like it currently is?
Best regards
Tonight

Re: Maintenances are getting out of hand
Hello @Tonight .
I am sorry we are having lot's of down time right now.
I will try and tell you what our problem is right now, We are having some manger upgrades to our servers (adding new SSD's to them)
We did not think we would have a server crash when this work was done none of the down time was even planed it just become a problem at that time.
Our team are working hard to keep this down time to a minimum but sometimes things go wrong and we try and fix this as soon as we can.
Also some of our team are still working from home and are only called in when things go wrong.
Yesterday was a big problem and our team was on it as soon as they could.
I understand your frustration when you and your members can not get on to your forum and if we could have stopped this then we would have done.
We hope this work will not give any more problems but we can not say we may run in to more down time.
Lets hope the new SSD's will make our systems much better and faster service to you and your forums.
Thank you for your time and understanding.

Re: Maintenances are getting out of hand
Thank you guys for the information.
Wasn't following FM's Facebook page before, therefore thought that people were awfully quiet about these issues.
Good luck with the upgrades.
