Problems after maintance
First topic message reminder :
Hello!
We have some problems since the maintance.
1. We use point system (it's a role playing game forum). After maintance lot of users lost points. For example someone wrote 84 posts, but the counter shows only 47. Or look this: It seems she wrote only one post, but actually she wrote more than 10.

https://dominium.hungarianforum.com/spa/Madina%20Callaghan#top
2. Notifications: During and after maintance some users got around 30 e-mails, but there are no new post in the watched topic.
3. Date: In memberlist some users didn't visit the forum since 05 August. But they wrote posts after that date.

Can you help to fix these?
Thank you!

Could you tell me more about this please ? Just to confirm, you are getting this message even if the time is longer than 10 seconds ? Does it happen regularly or just happened several times yesterday ?
Thank you.in repeated way ? Please can you describe in more details ?And 'accept cookies' pop ups.
Hello Admin Luzz,
I am the moderator for jkh's forum.
I only noticed the 'flooding' notification last night, it's not something I've seen before. It stayed on-screen long enough for me to take a screenshot, I would say over 10 seconds. At the time there were only a few members online, I was the only member posting at the time.
The 'accept cookies' box randomly pops-up bottom right of the screen and stays there until I click 'accept cookies'. This has been going on for about 48 hours.
Sorry this is a bit vague but I hope it helps in some way.
Re: Problems after maintance
Thank you @Moddy,
Well, if since this time nobody reproduces the problem, let's say it was temporary.I only noticed the 'flooding' notification last night, it's not something I've seen before.
Does your browser delete all cookes after closing? If yes, it's normal that then you see the "accept cookies" box again...The 'accept cookies' box randomly pops-up bottom right of the screen and stays there until I click 'accept cookies'. This has been going on for about 48 hours.

Thank you for your prompt reply @Luzz.
No my browser doesn't delete all cookies after closing but again, as it's a comparatively new anomaly I won't waste any more of your time at present. If the problem recurs and it's not solvable in-house I will report back

Luzz wrote:Hello,
Some administrators still have similar problems after maintenance.
We will make a point with the technical team, by analyzing all the information that you provide and the progress of the technicians on the server side, and I will come back to you to give you new information and / or instructions.
Dear Luzz!
Have the technical team any idea for our problems, bugs?
+ Since the maintance sending a post takes about 1-2 minutes if we want to wait the automatic refresh of the page. If we click on the "click here to view your message", the page refresh quickly. In this forum it works fine, ours are slowly

Re: Problems after maintance
@Netty 88 Have you seen this tutorial? It might fix the slow refreshing of the page..

Nope.
This one is still wrong:

Re: Problems after maintance
Hello
@Netty 88,
Unfortunately, there is nothing more we can do on our end after the technical problems on August 24. We tryed to recover the maximum of the content, but some content was lost.
The only solution to recover the maximum would be to make a backup using the previous to 08/24 available date (08/18 therefore) and choosing the option "Insert only the lost content without touching the current content". But I am not really sure it can be interesting in your case.
We apologize for this incident and thank you for your kindness
@jkh @APE
I hope to be able to give you some good news soon, but unfortunately I have no more useful information for the moment ...

The forum is still loading slowly for us.
We are observing some problems like this, with slow loading sometimes, and try to analyse what is happenning. We have some ideas but not yet a definitive solution. Some additional improvement on the servers are planned.Thank you for your report, YES my forum is running slow and so is this support forum.

Dear Luzz,
Ok, thank you.
I just wanted to wait your answer, before we donate the missing points for our users

Re: Problems after maintance
As Luzz said we are working on it but sadly we will not know any more until our tech team have done their work. as I don't work in the head office I can't find out a time line.jkh wrote:How is the analysis coming along?Luzz wrote:@jkh @APEThe forum is still loading slowly for us.We are observing some problems like this, with slow loading sometimes, and try to analyse what is happenning. As I said I am also getting slow loading on the support forum and on one of my sites.
Just some small advice lower the number of images loading on your forum if you can, Any codes you may have like javaScripts / CSS files if not needed turn them off as this does have hit a large forum with loading problems. This is only advice not a must.

Re: Problems after maintance
I hope you discover the source of the problem. I have just been getting reports from some of my members about issues using my forum. Mainly they are finding it slow and are sometimes having loading issues.
Re: Problems after maintance
Could you all try one thing for me please.
Log in as founder of the forum, Navigate to the following pages.
Scroll down the page to Force the basic CSS: pick YES
Then find >> Optimize your CSS and pick YES then save...
Then do the same again but change them both to NO then save.
Next
Find
Enable Javascript code management : pick NO then save
Now do the same again but change it back to YES then save
Now If your settings is already set to NO then you don't need to make a change to this setting.
Let me know if there was any change in how your forum is running after this small change.

Re: Problems after maintance
If I Force the basic CSS won't that mean I lose all my changes?APE wrote:Could you all try one thing for me please.

Should I copy and save my CSS first so I can paste it back in afterwards?
Re: Problems after maintance
You are only changing it from yes to no. When you change it back to no, your customized CSS will still work.

Re: Problems after maintance
OK, so what would happen if I didn't change it back to 'Yes'? What if I left it on 'No'...? Wouldn't it mean that my forum would look like it did before I made all the changes to it?
Re: Problems after maintance
Yes = default CSS
No = customized CSS
No = customized CSS

hello
if you feel safer you can test it on your test forum
if you forced the default css the forum will show without your changes
if you return it to the customized css your forum will look again as it is
your css will not be lost it is like the default templates option YES or NO

I tried it on the test forum and it made no difference to loading time.
I also tried turning off the javascripts and that made no difference either. But then the test forum hasn't got nearly as much on it as my main forum...
And this support forum is also loading slower than usual too.

Re: Problems after maintance
yesterday for me this forum was also slow for an hour or so but after that until now seems ok
Re: Problems after maintance
My forum is working okay for me most of the time. A slight lag occasionally. It is members who have contacted me that they are having issues for what appears to be more prolonged periods.
I have tried what you said @Ape but am not able to check with the affected members yet. I am surprised my forum has problems as it is relatively new, so doesn't have anywhere near the content of @jkh . We do post a lot of images though.
