New Members Still Cannot Join
Technical Details
Forum version : #phpBB3
Position : Founder
Concerned browser(s) : Google Chrome
Who the problem concerns : All members
When the problem appeared : 2017
Forum link : http://centralaidagency.forumotion.net/
Description of problem
Hello,My forum is still experiencing the issue that I originally mentioned in my prior help topic here: https://help.forumotion.com/t142630-why-is-your-topic-in-the-garbage#970786
There appears to be no way for new members to join my forum, as the confirmation code box is missing from the signup page. I have screenshots if needed, but they are the same as the ones in the above topic.
Thank you.

Re: New Members Still Cannot Join
I can tell you why your having this problem.
You have a code hiding our Ad's on your forum.
This in it's self is breaking our TOS and your forum will be banned if you Don't remove this code used on your forum to hide ad's.
You have 48 hrs to remove the code used.
Ad's and our google captcha system are linked This is why your members can't make account's
The only way to remove ad's is to pay for a package from us. We are a free host that make money by the ad's we use on all forums unless you pay for the removal.

@skouliki: Unfortunately I'm not super fluent in coding or programming, so I'm not sure how to do what you are talking about?
@APE: I'm very confused. We have a free account and ads are showing on our forum, there is even one there right now from forumotion (see image). If there is some kind of code blocking it, I don't think we put it there and I'm not sure how to find it to remove it?

Re: New Members Still Cannot Join
Hello,
Do you have any custom code (CSS, Javascript, etc) installed in the admin panel? Also have you modified any of the templates?
Could you please do the following:
1.Force the css to the default CSS
2. Disable Javascripts
This will tell you and us whether some code is interfering with the ads and the captcha code displaying.
I checked your forum in the inspector of FIrefox, the ad code is definitely there on your forum, but something is preventing it from either displaying or loading properly. I don't see any obvious CSS that could be causing this, but I could have missed something.

Did you create this theme or installed it from Hitskin? If from Hitskin, could you please post the link to the theme on Hitskin?

Re: New Members Still Cannot Join
That is really strange, it is definitely showing up for me. It's weird that it shows up for me but not for you guys.
@brandon_g: I can certainly try, I looked through the admin panel, exactly where/how would I go about doing that? Thanks.
@SLGray: It was from Hitskin originally I'm pretty sure, but it's been the better part of a decade that we've had it now. I don't remember what it was called originally and I doubt I could find my way back to it at this point.

Re: New Members Still Cannot Join
Hello @London,
The ads are hidden because of your personal CSS. Please edit your CSS customizations here: Display > Pictures and Colors > Colors in order to delete the concerned lines.

Re: New Members Still Cannot Join
easy way for us to fix this is to send me a PM with a test account with Admin right's.
Please don't send me founders account.
here is how to make the Test account.

Re: New Members Still Cannot Join
I looked at the CSS code sheet, and it is blank. Also the option to force the CSS code is grayed out.
@Ape: PM'd, hopefully you are able to figure out what is wrong. Thanks.
