private publications

Hello,

I would like to share title images and introductory texts to each topic on my forum. I had thought to use the "pubications" for this purpose. However, I just realised they are visible to the public - and this was not intended. Our forum is private, and I have permissions to use the images but only in this private circle.
Could you please help me with instructions how to make the publications private?

Thank you! However, all I can change is who has permission to "create and edit". The light-green area, "view and read", can not be modified for some reason...

You can make an html page add it on the navbar and hide it from guests

Publications are all live on our system they are used to post on our forumotion Mag to help get members reading all about your forums and getting news out there.

this s how the system was made to help others get your forum out there.

So yes if you post in your Publications it will be added to our mag and it's open to the world to read.

Sadly we can not change this sorry.

I've tried that, and have three questions:
Where can the forum members find the html page?
Also, the text doesn't appear in paragraphs, although I had written it in paragraphs. But rather, it appears in one text body without any gaps. How do I solve that?
And, can't I insert photos?

Unfortunately, the sparklist-links do not open up.

When you create the html page choose the advanced mode
To create gap / line add this element <br/>
If you write it twice you will create two lines space

When you submit the html page you get a link url
so you must create a new customized menu (admin panel...display... homepage...headers) and insert that link html url to the redirection url field
Then fix the rights you want , the option is open

on the image, you want just right click with your mouse and copy the image address 



those links are not opening for me also ..so its not our fault maybe a server issue on their side

Menu : ( Title)
Picture : (For navigation bars without text just image buttons , the image url... if you use text leave it blank)
Text : (text that will appear on the navigation bar)
Redirection Link : ( the HTML Page link )
Rights : (Check any group that is able to access this on the Navigation bar)
Rights : (You can choose if the navigation, if clicked, will open in a new window)

I clicked on "prerview", and a new window opened up. Then I went back to the other page and clicked "save", but it was gone.

You dont see any page created ;; if not then you didnt save your work

Right. I did it all a second time.
However, I can not find the option to upload a picture from my files. I'd be very grateful for instructions!

I just saw that the graphic I inserted has underneath it the option to "share" on WhatsApp, Twitter etc.
I don't have permission to share it outside our private forum, so I need to get rid of the sharing-option. How can I do that?

this account is connecting with your personal information no one else can enter, so those images are uploaded to this account as your personal file
if you don't share the image , the image cannot be shared

apologies for the late reply. All the help I received so far was really great! Thank you ver much.
I have still not succeeded in uploading a picture on the html page I created. I looked at the tutorial at https://help.forumotion.com/t10583-servimg-servimg-pro?highlight=servimg but didn't find instructions there regarding html pages.
If you can point me to the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated!

souliki I'm not sure my attempts at sending you a private message were successful.
However, meanwhile, I was able to use <img src="YOUR IMAGE URL" /> to insert the picture from an online source. Is there a reason why this method is not recommendable?
I could not see any "image upload" button so this seemed the only option.
Of course I would prefer to use the picture from my own computer, since I don't know if the online source takes down the picture at some point.
I would therefore still be grateful to learn how to get the url of an image that is located on my computer.

PS souliki, I also found that the problem with the overlapping header in my navigation bar has resolved by itself.
