Spam pm's

Anyway to stop spam pm's to my mailbox? This is the second time this has happened. They are not even members. How do they get passed through doing this. I could ban the email but how do you stop it.

I think those pms are sent through the contact form. In the admin panel, go to General, Messages and emails, then Emails and Contact, Contact form and there you can deactivate the contact form, or make some other changes.

Yes Occultist is right the spam Emails are from your footer 
You will need to remove the Contact from your footer
