Servimg and Ads
I dislike the servimg feature.
it turns out, for non admin accounts and guest, servimg pictures show advertisement spam when they are clicked.
so I use imgbb instead.

Re: Servimg and Ads
I'm already paying for the premium package, so it makes 0 sense for servimg to show commercials to my guests.

Do you have a screenshot of the type of ads you are seeing?
Re: Servimg and Ads
@Niko
@jucarese
under Disabling ads the premium package says members and guests. indeed they do not get ads.
BUT, if I use an image hosted by serve image as you can see in the picture, if they click the picture they go to the servimg image link and see ads.
this does not happen on the admin account, it happens for guests which are not logged in, which is not workable for me.

Re: Servimg and Ads
It looks like the ads are appearing in the servimg page not in the forum. From what i'm understanding is that when someone clicks the image you have hosted on your forum, when they go to the image on servimg, you get ads on that page correct?

Servimg ans Ads

yes @megamein it is how @BlackScorpion mentioned.
Also, you will never see ads from the image if you use the direct link, but if you use servimg website to view the image, there will be (consider that technically servimg is used to host the image and use them on the forum, not as an actual "gallery"
So I am afraid there is no solution to remove that type of ads from servimg website

Re: Servimg and Ads
Hello,
No matter if you have a paid package with ads disabled on your forum, Servimg is an independent service.
Sadly, there is currently no option to disable ads on Servimg's viewing pages.
As @Niko said, you should only use "direct image link" and post image on your forum so your members won't have to go on Servimg and see these ads.
You also need to understand that even Servimg is free, running servers to host images costs money and company has to earn this money to keep Servimg alive, which is done in a part by ads.
However ads shown shall be correct, so if you see inappropriate / shocking ads on Servimg don't hesitate to post ads links or screenshots so a report could be done to the ad manager (who is not Forumotion directly) in order to obtain regulation of inappropriate ads publishers.
Regards.

Re: Servimg and Ads
Hello all.
If you pay for Servimg Pro you don't see the ad's but yes guests will see them.
Servimg uses the ad's to help pay for the free to all host and servers to save all your images. if we never had ad's then you would have to pay each month for the service.

But that is normal because you open the image on the servimg page, which also has its advertising, for that you must pay for serving.pro ,servimg ads are not removed with the Forumotion premium packages.
Re: Servimg and Ads
Hello @megamein,
Just to warn you: we have just checked, the Servimg Pro subscription does not remove advertisements for the subscriber. Please excuse us for the small mistake. Otherwise, I confirm what my colleagues have already said in this topic: Servimg is a service independent of Forumotion, subscription to Forumotion packages has no influence on the options of this service.
Thank you for your comprehension.
