enrollment procedures?
enrollment/registration procedures?
many can't figure out how to register as they have to click on different pictures!
When they have spent several minutes on it, because they are constantly getting new pictures to click on!
then they give up!
Can't the registration procedure be made easier?
or is it not possible?
Sincerely, Paul

Re: enrollment procedures?
Good afternoon!

The main points of the how the forum works are described here. It also includes information on the use of cookies and Private Policy. The user must acknowledge that he/she is familiar with them. Confirmation that the user is aware of them is the legislature's requirement.
In the next window, the user has to enter a nickname, password, and email - there is nowhere to go without it.
About the Confirmation code: it doesn't always require you to click on the pictures. Sometimes you can just tick a box and the check will pass. This depends on the browser and its version, as well as the add-ons that are installed in the browser.
But in most cases, especially if the user is visiting the site for the first time, he/she will need to click on the pictures.
Here we, as administrators, have no control over the system.
This protection cannot be deactivated.
I think you've asked a similar question before - registration procedure?. Nothing has changed since then.
The only suggestion I can give you to simplify registration is the automatic activation of user accounts (AP - Users & Groups - Users options - New accounts activation - No activation - Save). With this setting, you will disable account activation via the link contained in the email.
After successful registration, users can immediately log in to the forum and start communicating.

Re: enrollment procedures?
Dear @Poul David
another option could be to register on Topic'It (https://topicit.net/register) - which is fast and easy, and then use Topic'it to register - in the same way some websites offer the option to "Login with Google", "Login with Facebook"

Register on Topic'it, then you will be able to register on Forumotion forums by clicking on the dedicated button from the registration page:

Re: enrollment procedures?
We can't make it any easier or we will open all our forums to bot's and hackers.
If people are finding it hard to do then you can always make the account for them using the username they want and the Email address. just Email them back with a temp Password that can be changed by the member when logged in.

ok, I understand that you don't want an easier registration method!
I'll do it for them if they can't figure it out!
I know you a place where you register with email and your phone number, where you then get a code via SMS that you have to enter!
your email and phone number can only be used once!
If you log out of that forum, you cannot use your email and phone number again, as the system will simply say that the email and phone number are already in use!
There are thus no opportunities to get back in!
I don't know if it is a better registration system!
Otherwise, many thanks for the answers here!
Sincerely, Paul
Re: enrollment procedures?
@Poul David It is never safe to save phone numbers on a database, If a site was to get hacked this data could be used for almost anything that is why we use the google captcha system.
Problem solved & topic archived.
