User Management user list doesn't show status of "Banned"
On "User Management > User List" under "Active" it only shows "Yes" or "No", not "Banned".
All these seven users were spammers and I've set their "Active" status to "Banned", yet there's not way for me to easily see this as it says "Yes" as their status. It should have "Banned" surely?
EDIT
Can see no logical reason why a banned user's profile shouldn't simply look more like (ie: Show "BANNED") THIS IS CREATED VIA EDITING A SCREENSHOT TO HOW IT SHOULD LOOK IMHO:-
And banned users on the Administration Panel shouldn't simply look more like (ie: Show "Banned") THIS IS CREATED VIA EDITING A SCREENSHOT TO HOW IT SHOULD LOOK IMHO:-

Coucou @NeilF,
have you banned their account, their email, their IP or what?
Through what procedure did you "ban" them?

Re: User Management user list doesn't show status of "Banned"
I went each account and changed their "User is active" to "Banned".
Which raises another issue as well. While using the forum, if you look at an account which is not active yet, the profile tells you in a nice bright red way:-
But if you look at a BANNED user, nothing. Why doesn't this profile tell me "harvy410" is BANNED? - https://hpotd.forumotion.com/u26

@NeilF please note that the information you see, is not visible to guests, only to you
Many admins usually have a rank "banned" they add to the user as rank, that could be a way

About this, I cannot reproduce the label on my test forumNeilF wrote:Can see no logical reason why a banned user's profile shouldn't simply look more like (ie: Show "BANNED"):-
Did you make any template or javascript modification to have the Active/Inactive label?
For this, I do agree with you. It would be clearer to have the Active Yes/No/Banned status in that column
Re: User Management user list doesn't show status of "Banned"
Those screenshot examples are edited in a graphics package to render how I believe they should actually look in software. In the case of the BANNED profile picture, I changed an INACTIVE user to demonstrate how a BANNED one should ideally be displayed.

Re: User Management user list doesn't show status of "Banned"
But the Inactive label, is there by default or to customized the forum to have it appear? I don’t see it on my test forum
I understand the banned label is an edited version to see what you mean, but what about the inactive label? do you see it natively from forumotion? or it’s a customization?

Re: User Management user list doesn't show status of "Banned"
The inactive example is from my INVISION format board. I've not changed anything to display it:-
Here you go - https://hpotd.forumotion.com/u7?status=unregistered
If that user was instead banned I would expect to see a nice big red "BANNED" instead of "INACTIVE".

Re: User Management user list doesn't show status of "Banned"
if a members account is Inactive you can't see them in the forums members list as they have not activated their account yet.
On the admin page you can go to the members profile and see the red Inactive icon next to the name on the top left.
This was added a long time a go as a basic update when the ACP skin was updated last.
It would be nice to have a banned icon added like you say makes it more easy to tell if the member is banned in the ACP
Please note that there is no other icon on any other account's when you have activated them. so I guess the tech team never thought about it other then the Inactive account's
Sadly we can't help you add this by scripts as we don't have server side use.
Maybe it is best you made a Suggestion in our Suggestions forum.

Re: User Management user list doesn't show status of "Banned"
@NeilF Oh I see now, it appears only when you have ?status=unregistered in the page address, not on all profiles
If your goal is to have a "Banned" label to show that the user is banned you have two options (but it's something you have to do manually sadly, while what you would like to do suits for a new feature suggestion).
1. You create a dedicated rank with a "Banned" text/image and you assign it to the user once it's banned
2. You create a image-list profile field where you can set an image with "Banned" content;
for example on this forum it is used as part of the "warnings" profile field:
Sadly, as I mentioned, what you are asking would be a great feature but there is no way to have it automatically visible (there may be some cases/forums where admins don't want that everyone knows when a user is banned or not)
The only automatic option in this sense is the setting "Hide messages from banned members" that hides messages from posted members

Re: User Management user list doesn't show status of "Banned"
Sorry, are you able to clarify (2) as I don't follow? - "You create a image-list profile field where you can set an image with "Banned" content;"
Ultimately anything to display "Banned" against a user which requires much more work to ban them than it already takes is not ideal. ie: For spam users I currently have to:-
1) Go into the user and change their Active status to "Banned".
2) Go into the script to enter in their username which then deletes all the posts/replies.
If there's much more to do ontop of that just to achieve something like this, it makes it hard to justify:-

Please also note that when taking a screen shot of an account or in your ACP that shows IP's and Email address you should blank them out so others can't see them for security purposes / reason's
I have blanked your images out for you on your posts above.

Thanks for that. Every one of those accounts was a spammer on my forum hence no consideration for their email address etc. But point taken.Ape wrote:Please also note that when taking a screen shot of an account or in your ACP that shows IP's and Email address you should blank them out so others can't see them for security purposes / reason's
