Hello everyone. Eventually, before ordering for creations, you can look in the Self-service where you may find something which fit to what you are looking. If not, post a request, by following these directions.

1. Thanks for putting a title which is related to your request
Example : if you want a banner, then your title will be : Order for a banner or Banner for a sport forum

2. Only one request per topic.

3. You mustn't post more than 2 different topics per day and per section (for example : only 2 different avatar requests a day).

4. Please change your title of your request topic to (done) when your request is finished.

5. To make the work easier for volontary graphists, and to receive your creations faster, we invite you to fill up this mini-form (more there's info, better it will be) :

There are two ways to fill in the form.

Either use the Graphics Command Generator
More info on this topic about it or to propose suggestions or comment on it

Or copy-paste this code and fill in the details
Nature of the creation : YOUR INFOS HERE
Creation size (in pixels) : YOUR INFOS HERE
With or without animation : YOUR INFOS HERE (precise the kind of animation you want)
Background color : YOUR INFOS HERE
Picture(s) link(s) : YOUR INFOS HERE
Text to insert : YOUR INFOS HERE

Link of my niceboard forum : YOUR INFOS HERE
Extra comments : YOUR INFOS HERE

To help you to complete the form, look at this following message :

Picture(s) link(s) :

More the form will be filled, more the creation will fit to what you want. However, if you don't have a precise idea, a graphist can help you : put as much infos as you can, and the inspiration will do the rest. Be that as it may, you must give the link to your niceboard forum. Otherwise, your request cannot be processed and accepted.

5. Before sending your request, think about doing a preview of your message, so you can verify if all is OK and that you haven't done any mistake in the text to include or the color codes, etc.

6. If you are satisfied by of the request you did and that you saved the pics on your computer, we advise you to edit the first post of your request and to add [Finished] in the title. More, if your request becomes obsolete for you, edit your first post and add [Cancelled] in the title.
This will make the work easier for creators and moderators.

What you cannot do

1. More that 1 up a day. This means that you cannot re-launch your request if 24 hours haven't passed (Because the members of this board live in various countries all around the world and then, we have to deal with various timezones, this rule will be not based on any timezone, this will be strictly based on the time of your last post). Think that if no one respond to your request, it's probably because your request is not detailed enough, or not clear enough. In this case, instead of simply posting "up", re-take your form and modify it.

2. Putting a title like this : "Need banner quickly, urgent..." The creators are volontary (they don't earn a penny for this) and human. They aren't at your service 24h/24, 7 days/7

3. Posting a request in another member's topic : You will be served better by posting your own topic.

4. Posting requests for commercial use

5. Copyrighted pictures mustn't be retouched. So, we ask all graphists to warn the member who posted the request that this picture is protected under copyright and that we can't do anything. We can recognize a protected image by the ©️ symbol.
If you make a creation with such pictures, here are the sanctions you may face :

What are the consequences of not getting permission to reuse copyrighted works?
The Copyright Act provides for the copyright owner to recover damages for unauthorized use of the owner’s works. These damages may include the profits resulting from the infringement, or statutory damages ranging from $250 to $150,000 per willful infringement, as well as legal fees.

6. Thanks to creators to not post a message saying "I take this request" or something like this. Post only once the creation is done, and not for saying that you will do it. Thanks for your comprehension. More, if the member is satisfied by the creation and that s/he forgot to say it by putting [Finished] in his/her topic title, you can ask him/her with text Caution : Ask him/her ONLY if you participated to the request.

Volontary creators haven't any obligation to do yoru requests, they do it for pleasure, for passion, etc.

As well as you, they have a private life, unexpected incidents, etc.

For this reason, we ask you to be respectful towards them.

Basic polite phrase are then evident (hello, good morning, good afternoon, please, thanks, best regards).

We ask you to respect these rules. Otherwise, your topic may get locked, then deleted if there's a second infringement.

How to become a graphist ?

For this, there is nothing special to do. Anyone who desires to do creation is free to do it and to take a request whichis realizable for him/her (in the condition that this is for a board hosted on Niceboard), so it's useless to applicate for being creator.

the Editboard team thanks you to have read these rules and to respect them.

Have a nice request.

General Rules of the Graphics Request section Empty Request: For People Making Requests

Post by ConsoleElosnoc August 19th 2007, 11:24 pm

I thought about this and I've decided to write this because I think you should understand the Point Of View of the Voluntary Graphic Artists that create your requests..
Shocked A. The Artisans
A list of present graphic artists:
Past graphic artists (haven't seen them on lately):

(This is just from the top of my head.. sorry if i missed you)
Shocked B. Respect
Okay, I know many people are not as good in the fields of arts as other people in the world. Personally, I think I am not good at it either.
But the key point in writing this topic was about Respect.
Graphic Artists who work voluntarily on your requests are HUMAN. I repeat, HUMAN. They are not your SLAVES. If you want graphics made, please show your respect to them!
How to show your respect:
Exclamation a. Never ever ever ever ever ever... write in CAPS.
When writing in CAPS, it is the exact same thing as YELLING. Therefore, if you're yelling at an artist, you treat them like slaves/underlings. Graphic Artists are not your SLAVES nor are we your UNDERLINGS.
Exclamation b. Never ever ever ever ever ever ever.. say PLZ.. but always say PLEASE
PLZ is not defined in the dictionary, and I don't believe it will in the future. Therefore, it's not a word and no body will understand you. However, 'please' is a word, and it's also a way to be polite to show your manners. If you're requesting for graphics, be polite and say 'please' not 'plz'.
(Personal Note: I will NEVER do a request that uses CAPS and says 'plz'... Most likely other artists will see your topic and just pass by it..)
Shocked C. Time/Timing
Another note.. Some artists have pretty busy schedules and sometimes may not have the time to even come on the forums.. let alone work on your request. Please be patient with us.. we are not Gods. If an artist has responded to your request give them some time to do it.
Shocked D. Private Messaging and Command Script
Personally, I do not want any body Private Messaging me to do a request for them.. I will just ignore it and Live life happily ever after....
I suggest if you want a Request made, use the Command Generator provided that you have read the two stickies in this forum!
Shocked E. Conclusion/Complaint
Finally, all I have to say is thank you for reading this. Also, if you are not happy with what the Graphic Artist has produced, request for a remake or edit.. do not YELL at them for what you thought was poorly done.. Graphic Artists do have emotions...

A little quote to end this: "Don't push my buttons, cause I will never make you any."
