Smilies problem... help please. Empty Smilies problem... help please.

Hi! Was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this for me...

One of the members of our forum cannot post smilies. She can see them, but when she clicks on them nothing happens (as in the code getting transfered over to the post). She's the only one this is happening to.

What can I do to rectify this problem? Thank you for your help!

As it's only one user, do they have the option set in their profile?

As admin of the site you can check her profile settings yourself, or if your prefer suggest she goes into her profile, select Preferences and scroll down to Always enable Smilies and click the 'yes' box then save.

I don't have that option on the individual user. On the main User Settings tough I have set it for "always allow smilies".

Could it have something to do with the platform or internet provider she has (sorry... got no clue about the technical stuff)?

That's odd, I'm sure both phpBB2 and 3 forums have this option in the user profile. Not wishing to sound funny, but could you double-check, here's a screen shot taken from my forum ...

You or they need to look in Profile, select the Preferences tab and look towards the bottom of the list - I have this option in several forumotion boards, so if it's not there on yours, then this may be a Tech issue.

It's not likely to be due to whoever her ISP is.
