Spam private messages

I have this one problem,
some members sending spam messages to other members of my forum to advertise their own forum...I disabled the pm sending for all...Is there any better move???

I would'nt have thought so mate that should do it, I know how annoying this can be having had the same problem myself

I put a very strong warning in general rules that anyone found to be spamming will be banned & that seemed to stop it,.........that maybe worth a try for you

You can disable the pm function for single members as well. Go to "Users & Groups / Users", find the member and click on it's name. Scroll down and set "Can send Private Messages" to "NO".

The matter is that i am not 100% if there is only one who spams...anyway thanks for your help!
