Donations?

Hey is it possible to add a donations thing to your forum. I really have no idea how to go about it? Is there an app or something? Or has anyone else done the same thing? Please help, I don't know what to do, I don't know whether I should just post my bank detail accounts and address or something, and make a thread for it. Or whatever, lol please help.

go to your pay pal account create a button, get the link and then go to your forums admin panel> nav links and add the button . After you do what i suggested the button will show up on your forum

No what i mean is that when people register to active account they have to make a donation of $1 to my account on paypal, someone help

NOTE: i just copied that in another forum so you can see what we meant...

All I know about donations is that you can access your Contributions (donations) in your admin panel, and make the link appear at the bottom of your forum automatically.

You can't make a bar like what khakuletz provided in the post, unless you use some kind of HTML source that is able to keep up with the new statistics for the donations.

Yea, you can make it appear in your forum, anyone can actually. Just Navigate :

Admin Panel >

Misc tab >

Credits Management -- Donations >

Scroll down a wee bit in the Your announce section, and select Yes next to Display the link to the donation page on page footer >

Make sure you precisely Save your new settings.



Well, it's almost going on 1:00 A.M., and I haven't gotten any sleep last night and I'm barely awake right now. I guess I got aaround 8 hours of sleep tonight, and I better start right now if I want all of that amount.

Thats not a donation, thats a forced payment to join your forum, i know its only $1 but a forced payment all the same.

You can't force people donate to your forum. Doing so would deter potential members from joining.

After you have activated donations, you can create a new Nav Link for it (Admin Panel > Display > Headers & Navigation) using

Code:

/donate.forum

as the URL.
