Removing html errors Empty Removing html errors

Post by servomap October 20th 2005, 7:45 pm

Hello Everybody,

I need your help. I wanted to see what I could do in the "manage the back up" option. I arrived on the editboard and I tried:

Remove HTML errors
Remove the errors of code on : Website title and description

By using this tools, HTML code will become apparent on your forum.
It will have then to be published on your Administration Panel to correct HTML errors.

Now I've got the html showing on my main page. Pleeease somebody tell me how to undo this.

If somebody could post the appropriate text in French that might help too. The English one just doesn't make any sence Sad

Alice

Ok. I've made the html disappear.

Only one more question I couldn't solve so far.

When somebody sends an e-mail via the forum this is what it looks like:

Hello sophie,

The following is an email sent to you by alice via your account on
<span style=FONT-SIZE: 20pt; ><font color=#003399><I>Budapest forum</I>. If
this message is spam, contains abusive or other comments you find
offensive please contact the webmaster of the board at the following
address:

alice_budapest@yahoo.co.uk

Include this full email (particularly the headers). Please note that
the reply address to this email has been set to that of alice.

Message sent to you follows
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't see why the html code shows.
I have the same problem with google.
When I search for budapest forum this is what google finds:
Code:
Budapest forum
Budapest forum All about Budapest and Hungary, <span style=FONT-SIZE: 20pt; ><font
color=# ... suggestions concerning the forum, 7, 18, Meeting in Budapest ...
budapest.forumactif.com/ - 25k - 18 Oct 2005 - Cached - Similar pages
Any ideas how I could get rid of these html codes?
Thanks,
Alice
I never hade to repair an HTML error, so I can't help you directly, but I can seek help in the French board about your problem.
EDIT : Here's the topic I just posted in the French board : http://forum.forumactif.com/viewtopic.forum?p=783349#783349
Thank you Katt. That was really nice of you. Merci. Very Happy
Actually I did manage to make the HTML disappear.
Redfurrrymonster, as I had the HTML appearing in my Website title and description, I had to go to Administration panel -> General Admin -> Configuration. I corrected the HTML in site name and site description and that was it. thumleft
I had to delete my portal to get it off... then just make the portal back again... which took only acouple of seconds.
Thanks anyway,
Good evening
If your problem is solved, this topic will be moved to the Garbage section, because of the title that is not explicit. You can change it by editing the first post. Having explicit titles will help new members in their search.
It would be weird to moderate a moderator! lol!
Good night to you!
