how to enable html

i feel really dumb asking this but how do I enable html on my forum? I want to put this in a post:

This is for my comic book company And that code is to make a list of PDF files that people can download and read to help them draw. If there is a better way for me to share my PDF files and put them in a forum post then I would appreciate if you tell me.

admin panel------>general settings------->messages and email and just check enable html
