Forum Software Empty Forum Software

Post by Strike August 11th 2008, 10:41 pm

Hi, Forumotion is doing a great job keeping up with rapid growth of world wide web and the amount of hosted forum's. In any case i found that Forumotion has 2 main scripts which are PHPBB 2 and PHPBB 3, yes Forumotion also has PunBB but PunBB is just horible as a forum software, this topic goal is to raise as much as possible vote which may be take in consideration by Forumotion Administration or and Managment.

"Is it possible for Forumotion to install MyBB which is 100 times better then PunBB and is also freeware distibuted by mybbgroup."

In any case vote if you want Forumotion to add MyBB to the current list of software's (PHPBB 2, PHPBB 3 and PunBB)

friends you have to see that phpbb, punbb or mybb doesn't matter...these forum systems will be a forumotion version...so it's not healthy to think having these systems in forumotion with their own specific features..There is a forumotion features and forum system have or going to have those standard forumotion features. So only some visual effects gonna change but features stay as same and standart.

If you want to use this systems with their full-features you have to upload this scripts to your own host with a simple ftp and built it into your own host...

I still think this is a great idea, I've been on forums that have used software such as this and it works great. Actually I was Global MOD on a forums that was using MySQL and it was all around goodness Expecialy cine I could go digging through the archives of posts 5 years back and the PM's were WWWAAAYYYYY better structured then the ones we have now. The PM system was more like the way the areas of the boards are set in that you have the title and then an un limited number of PM's could be in that "thread" however these were PM's and had their own area in "my stuff"...
