A banned box? Empty A banned box?

Post by Baltorocks123 August 18th 2008, 6:11 pm

Hmm... Have no idea why but, how about when members get banned they go to a "banned box" witch is only visible to the banned member himself and the mods/admins of the forum?

Yes, but still, the Moderators/administrators can just IGNORE the user, or an Administrator could be able to ban him out of the banned box if wanted.

Remember: This should be a feature, not something that is not optional, it should be up the Admin of the site/forum to choose this.

I dont think so as once they are banned they cant see the site so why have them in a box that they can see just to wind them up?

I dont get it when you ban someone they are banned from the site
Why would you want to help them by putting them in a box?

I would think if you banned someone thats it they wont come back on dont see the point in them been in a box to help them when they are banned whats the point?

When I say "Help" I mean give them information if they feel it is a mistake, or to find out information about the ban, it has come in handy on meany sites, and could be good on here. But if the member is constantly spamming, swearing or breaking the rules, they could just be completely excluded from the Banned box aswel.

I vote no. I mean, if a member does something wrong and gets banned for it, then why give them a place to protest and abuse? I don't see the point sorry.

i would like if the member could get one and only one message to say to the admin to "repent". if the admin thinks it is un repentable then he checks off a box when he bans.

Well yeah, but for problems like if it was a mistake, the member could post it in the banned box to confirm the ban by the Moderator/Administrator whom banned them, and once it had been confirmed they where as you say "Checked out" of the Banned box.

Also to add... Maybe it should be an option to where if your site is big and say you banned 2-3 members at once, you could make it where only the mods/admins could see what they where saying, and the users would not be able to see other members posts.
