They are completely harmless and do not in any way become an annoyance. The Google, Yahoo! and MSN bots simply update the information stored on your forum to their search engine, thus keeping search results updated.

You will notice that the Google bot is generally the first bot to come, quickly followed by the Yahoo! bot. If your forum is doing well, the MSN bot will come and visit.

bot is short for robot,(software robots) they collect web information for

google and yahoo and msn DNS (domain name server) servers, in other

words the search results you get by searching on google and yahoo
