cPanel access to my site? Empty cPanel access to my site?

Post by tommylsvs11 on October 23rd 2008, 9:57 pm

My site http://pcfuel.net is up for a year and I was wondering if I could have cPanel access to it, just so I can make modifications that I would need, is there a way that I can get a login to it? I can prove that it's my site.

I want cPanel access so I can add new files, like maybe a homepage, not just like a portal, etc. I also plan on switching forum services so I can have custom mods, is there any way I can get cpanel access?

i'm not understanding you correctly?
control panel. that's your administration panel.
log in to your forum and scroll down to the bottom of the page to ware it says admin panel.

if your are not seeing that. then either it's not your forum?Or the forums admin dose not have you in the admin group or you as an administrator?
but if it is your forum then you will see it at the bottom of the page.

as far as you switching service. you are unable to transfer data from a forumotion forum to another one. you can take post and put them on your new forum. but there's is no way to retrieve your data. forumotion dose not offer or allow that.

Cpanel access is server side altering. He sounds like he want's access like I have with my nuke site. Full file contol, mod access, themes, MySql/PhpAdmin and things.

Which isn't allowed on free forum hosts. And very few nukes allow this also. Cpanel is pay service dude, sorry...

Um, from what I have seen, buying a domain only gives you a www.yada yada change, e-mail accounts, and various minor things, not Cpanel access to the server. Next, nobody, even the guys who pay, are allowed to mess with any files what-so-ever, and forumotion doesn't allow Db dumps so you can move services. That has been posted many times on these forums.

And demanding Cpanel access is actually rude... Want Cpanel goto a paid hosting provider and buy your own server space, and the domain name to go with it.

Lastly, you should be directing this question in the "Paid Domain" area of the forums, not out here in the "Problems" forum. It's located here:

This question wasn't directed at you, it was directed at an administrator, you had no right even posting in this thread

Yes I do, it an open forum. Secondly, your demanding things, that I'm pretty sure you aren't going to get. Lastly, everybody thinks I'm rude, lmfao, you take the prize before I ever would.

Mate, he's tying to help you and he has posted helpful posts.
He is also completely correct, it is impossible, so i don't see why you need an administrator to mirror what's being said. Rolling Eyes

I don't see why it's impossible to have cPanel access to my own site, I don't want my site to be just a plain forums that I can't even add decent mods to, forumotion is never going to be a great forums unless you allow us to customize the forum to our likings
