Solved Automatic Notification

Post by orange peril November 27th 2008, 12:02 pm

Hi

Is there a way of setting up the forum so that when a new member joins he is automatically notified of all posts to topics that he has contributed to?

Rather that them having to go to their preferences and checking this option themselves

Thanks

I don't think this is an option

And just out of curiosity, why would you want this? It just absolutely floods your inbox.

I'm going through a problem with my admin panel right now, so I'm not able to look and tell you how. But, I think that the members are able to do this themselves. So, I recommend you to just make an announcement on for them to know how to do this.

First of all, you have to know how to set it where they can manually modify this Arrow

"My Profile" >

And I believe if you scroll down, you'll find the choice.

Thanks for the replies but i would really like to set it as a default when the user joins. I know how to do it manually.

The forum is going to be quite a small one with a low number of threads/posts (its for a stag weekend) and what is happening is that users are joining and not returning to check the posts because the traffic is small.

Is there a way i could change their profiles for them?
