To know how to take a screenshot :
- Spoiler:
- Under Windows XP
Press on the Print Screen key, next to F12 key - see iimage
- Launch MS Paint (Start > All programs > Accessories > Paint) then do Edit > Paste
- Save your screenshot. I recommend the PNG format.
- Host your pic and post it as a link or a clickable thumbnail.
Under Ubuntu Linux
The method is quite simpler than under Windows
- Press on the Print Screen key, next to F12 (see image). A screenshot manager window will open with a preview of your screenshot. Give it a name and save it.
- Host your pic and post it as a link or a clickable thumbnail.
Under Mac OSX
Since I don't own a Mac, I just give you the link where the steps are given :

Re: Your Desktop (since the other seems pruned)
Having installed Ubuntu 9.04 yesterday (to replace the old 8.04 who died), here's my current desktop :

The Ranma½ wallpaper came from my Windows desktop, I imported my winXP profile data during the install process.
In one year, there was so much progress regarding the free ATI drivers provided with Linux distros that my ATI Radeon 7000 graphical card now fully supports graphical and 3D effects !
Here's a screenshot of my 3D Cube after I installed the Compiz-Fusion settings manager and activated the cube :

Re: Your Desktop (since the other seems pruned)
Lately, I felt nostalgic and so, I looked for a FFIV wallpaper for my Ubuntu desktop. FFIV is one of my favourite Final Fantasy games ever since I discovered the serie during the SNES era.

all my apps shortcuts are in the upper taskbar, that's why I don't feel the need to place them along with my two NTFS partition shortcuts, unlike my Windows desktop.
