Nothing in text under topic-whoa-here too?

I have set up the categories and forums, which went well. I set permissions and the account I am using has admin priveleges. Then I tried to actually post a topic, and the topic appears, but with nothing in it. Yet it appears when I do quote or edit. I see nothing in it that would make it hidden? Here is what I entered:

Ya this has been happening a lot today. It started for me last night

OK. My problem appears to have been a misplaced left bracket, and again when I quoted it...I hope.
