Hello Mr.Stamper,

I think there is. Try going to:

1) Adminstration Panel
2) Users & Groups Tab
3) Special rights (on the left, under Special rights)
4) Forum statistics: Guests

is your forum opened or closed to guests?

I think if your forum is closed to guests and you choose :
Display viewonline information box on index : On root index only
only members will see it when signed in.
But I don't think that works if guests are allowed to view the forum

Mr. Stamper - if you make all of your forums none viewable to guests then the 'who is online' bit will not appear.

go to admin > general > cats and forums > clikc on each forums permissions symbol and uncheck the 'viewable by - guests' boxes on every forum and category..
