We have noticed that there is a lot of space between the banner and text when we use the invision theme. Is this adjustable?

Are you referring to the sig when you say banner? To my knowledge, it's the way the Invision scheme is laid out (and which I personally hope they don't change). Until we're able to do template editing with Invision, I don't believe it's changeable.
