Hiding forums from non-group members?

This is probably some easy-to-solve question, but I somehow didn't manage to do it myself so.

I don't want to let users who just registered, without being in an user group, see certain parts of my forums. No idea how to do that though. Mad

set the permissions in a certain forum to groups only. :\

Well for some reason I can choose between: Members; Administrators; All; only.

If I put it on members, any member (also those who just registered, without being in a group) can view 'em then.

Go to admin panel=>General=>Forum=>Categories and forums and click on this icon Hiding forums from non-group members? Perms

next to the forum you would like to change permissions to. Now on the next page click the Advanced Mode button at the bottom of the permissions table. If you don't see it it means you are already using advanced mode. In that table you will be able to change the permissions however you want so to make a forum available for only certain members uncheck all the boxes for members and check them for the group/groups you would like to have access to that forum.
