Categories don't show on the forum

Don't get scared by the title please, I DID try to figure it out myself by reading the help and faq about categories and forums.

It clearly states that in order to make a categorie actually show on the forum itself and not just in the admin panel, it has to contain at least one forum.

As far as I know, I did just that:



But the result is not what I was hoping for:



What am I doing wrong? I'm convinced it's something simple, but any help would be greatly appreciated!

I see your problem.Remember to press 'Save' After fixing up your Forum like that.

Did you try

Admin panel--->display---->Structure and hierarchy

Pick "middle" or "none" on "Keep categories on index :"

Then save

If you want categories to be in their own table, click medium on 'split categories on index'

to get to the desired effect.
