Logging onto Chat room

Historically, before the problems with the chat room, you entered the chat by clicking on 'join the chat', now when you do that, you also have to click 'log in' if you want to type any messages.

Causing us a few problems, as members can 'join the chat' and view what is being said, without physically logging in, and without anyone knowing they are lurking, if that makes sense? any solutions?

Where do you find the option of join the chat?

At the bottom of the home page.

Even when you click on join the chat, you are still not logged in. You need to refresh each & everytime to see what everyone has posted. I do understand what you are trying to say. There is no solution at this moment which i can suggest you.

It hadnt used to happen, when you clicked join the chat you were actually showing as being the chat room, as it is now, the members in the chat room feel others members are able to 'spy' on them without logging in!!

Nopes, they can't spy on you until they are on that page for a while & then hit refresh after say 5 mins. So whatever has been spoken in those last 5 mins, that can be seen. Anyways, a shoutbox can't be private can it be?

I have tried it, if I keep hitting refresh, I can see what is being said, without logging on. I know what you saying about it not being private, but members like to know who they are talking to and dont like the fact that someone could be lurking!

Are you hitting the refresh on that chat or on the browser?

This post, yes thanks. Just one last thing, when will it be fixed like what is was before?

I really can't say anything about it. We could get anything in the updates.
