Where in the Admin Panel could I find...

Sorry if this is in the wrong section...
Where in the Admin Panel could I find the codes,such as

Code:

{USERNAME}

,because I once came across it,yet now I can't seem to remember where it was.
If you have a puzzled face,I remeber browsing around my Admin Panel,and I clicked on a link,and a window opened where it had a bunch of the codes like

Code:

{date}

,

Code:

{POSTCOUNT}

etc.
Its okay if no one can help.

Have you checked the CSS Stylesheet??

Admin Panel > Display > Homepage Message..
At the bottom of homepage message field, you will see this...
"Leave this field blank to deactivate your homepage message"
Click that star "*" at the end of that line.
You will get it.
