delete button NEW TOPIC in openned topic

at first, I want to apologize for my poor english, I hope you will understand me

on my forum, in any openned topic, are 2 buttons, 1. is New topic and other is Post reply

is it possible to delete this first button (button new topic) and keep only button Post reply

sometimes I do mistake, and instead of post reply, I open a new topic

Well you can, but then no one would be able to open a new topic
Just an idea ...maybe find or make a new topic button that is vastly different from the post a reply button to avoid confusion.

to answer your question though,

Go to Display> pics management> advanced>
button tab.
click on the new topic button and select HIDE> save.
