Do you like the new updates?

As usual, when a new update comes, I will start a poll. Participate in the poll and let Forumotion know what you think about the new updates!

i would say nuetral but it won't let me vote! My opinions are:

Login pop-up :
Flood Control :
Multi - Quote :
Scrolling Announcements:
Points System (similar to cash mod) :
Reputation system :Evaluation + "Thanks" Button (similar to karma mod) :
Advanced Profile :
Profile fields :
Avatars in members list :

Overall: 7 Thumbs Ups - 5 Thumbs Downs

mostly updates came to standard and bugs are solved in every forum i think.

so right now we can discuss about them.

Multi-quote/flood control/rep system/avatars in memberlist are all great updates. So no comment.

Custom profil choices with colors are also great.

Point system is also useful but it's so simple, if there are some custom images for it like image per some number it'll be more interesting in my opinion.

Profil update seems good but i prefer the oldschool phpbb profil style, so still using it.

After this updates one thing seems, country flag option seems not good in profil section or in registration page, takes so much space, a javascript based choosable list for country names will be better. But after choosing the country name it will show the related flag on the message-profil part.

Can techs do something about it?

well after all the bugs got ironed out i must say that this update was one of the best.
a little bit for everyone...

popups for those that like things getting thrown in their faces...
profile fields and flood control for some real time administrators ...
advanced profile for customizers
and points and reps for those more active, post and get rewards forums///

Defo a big yes, i think you did well too to get things sorted considering how big the update was this time. im not too keen on the pop up and the way the thanks button works but thats just personnel preference. A big thumbs up though for this update, well worth the wait

This update has to be one of the best one's that came out.

The flood control, thanks button, and Muti- quote's are the ones that I can see will be used a lot.

Hello fellow members and all staff at Forumotion:

I just wanted to say that I really like the new updates, they are most welcomed and very nice! I LOVE the multi quote function, very badly needed. I love the mini avatars on the memberlist. I REALLY love the new and improved profile options and display....much more professional and better looking than before. I know many members don't like the link to a members' profile using their name on the post profile, but I really like this myself. This is how nearly all other forums utilize a quick link to a member's profile. Now, there is an icon that we can display that directs a person to the member's profile as well, but I've disabled that now. No need for redundancy, but I do prefer the direct link from the member's name.

I don't have a lot of use for the points and rep systems, and probably will disable it eventually...but, it was what others wanted and I'm sure they appreciate that.

The animated announcement banner is very nice and I can see myself using this in the future at some point.

Having said all of this, YES...there have been lots of bugs and problems with the update, but it's getting worked out and fixed like it always does. Sure it's frustrating at first, but it's an easy price to pay for the forums and options we have here. By far, Forumotion offers the best features, functions and ability for us to personalize our forums. I predict good things for this hosting company in the future and I see it expanding and improving more swiftly as it grows.

Well done and thanks to the staff here for giving us things we want and trying to make us all happy forumotion users.

I too want to thank all the tech's who have worked on the new updates. All the updates have been amazing. I am sure, most of the users have loved these updates.

Although, I may not utilize all of the updates it is nice to have the option

The Cash Mod I'm sure everyone wanted... though it didn't turn out like what I wanted it to be, but still it's a good step towards one.

I liked the advanced profile, but I have one complaint... Can we get notified that we get a new visitor message and/or friend request? That'd be great =)

Very nice, i like updates, except one, pop up window. I dont like popups

beause there thing is more priority from this update
such as

signature box, message between send and watch thread
private message
prevent any member send message if not have 100 posts and so

Thanks to Forumotion for these upgrades. There all are very useful, except Thanks button. It can be useful, to make Thanks button not for topic, but for post. And for any user, independent who was the tpic starter.

This is not a problem but I couldn't find the appropriate forum to say thanks for the recent updates. I enjoyed how you all got together and made different updates like the profile for the members, very well thought of.
