How to post music.
To post music on your forum:
1. Go to www.playlist.com and sign up.
2. Log in. Click "my playlists" at the top of the page.
3. Click "create new playlist" at the right hand side.
4. Go to the new playlist you just created and click "manage songs."
5. It will say "You don't have any music tracks in your playlist. Go add some!" Click on the "add some" bit of the text to add songs.
6. Search your song. To add it click the little "+" next to the album cover.
7. Click on "EMBED" at the bottom of the playlist on the right hand side.
8. Choose option "E. Get the code for any other social network, blog or your own personal website"
9. Select the playlist you want.
10 Turn "auto-start" on!
11. Choose a colour for your playlist.
12. Click "GET CODE"
13. Go to your forum admin and choose "Modules" then "Widgets"
14. Create a new widget and paste the HTML code into the widget box.
15. Drag the widget to the forum. (make sure you have widgets enabled)
Youre done! Hope this helps!
(p.s. You can play around with the code to remove the boxes at the bottom of the playlist. You also need to find "<object width="435"..." as this tells you how wide you need the forum widget bar. With default playlist width I would suggest making the widget bar 450px)
1. Go to www.playlist.com and sign up.
2. Log in. Click "my playlists" at the top of the page.
3. Click "create new playlist" at the right hand side.
4. Go to the new playlist you just created and click "manage songs."

Re: How can I post Music in my Forum
Try searching for a style of music you like > here > http://www.myflashfetish.com/
Use a shared "premade" player by copying "embed playlist" code for your widget.
Although it's advanced HTML coding...
You can create popup widgets for music on your site
Here are a few music players I use for various music styles:

(including links to the original playlist & current site)

[ Steps I took to create a popup player for Oldies listeners ]
1. Searched playlists for "Oldies" at myflashfetish.com.
Copied music player "embed playlist" code from this one
> http://www.myflashfetish.com/playlist/10105523
2. Created an HTML page for the music player-widget only.
3. Created a widget for a "popup shortcut" to open the HTML page
[ window size & position added to widget code ]

Opens a detached, sized window. Test > Here
Hope this helps anyone looking for ideas about adding music to their site

Re: How can I post Music in my Forum
It would require the use of frames.
Learn to create a widget first. Have you done that yet?
You can have a flash player widget "auto-start" a song.
It will restart with each page change so choose a piece
of music that won't get on your nerves too soon. lol
In Admin Panel > Modules > Forum Widgets Management
> Display Forum Widgets "Yes" (save)
Create a music player widget.
Experiment with the one below: (title the widget "music")
<embed src="http://media.entertonement.com/embed/InlinePlayer.swf" id="3_e02b511e_1585_11de_89dc_0015c5f4d562" name="3_e02b511e_1585_11de_89dc_0015c5f4d562" flashvars="auto_play=1&meta_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.entertonement.com%2Fclips%2F25662.query&id=3_e02b511e_1585_11de_89dc_0015c5f4d562" width="18" height="18" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" allowscriptaccess="always" wmode="transparent" style="vertical-align: bottom; margin: auto 3px;"></embed><a href="http://www.entertonement.com/clips/25662/Playstation-2/Final-Fantasy-X/In-Zanarkand-Theme-Song?ht_link=3_e02b511e_1585_11de_89dc_0015c5f4d562"><img alt="Blank" border="0" height="0" src="http://www.entertonement.com/widgets/img/clip/25662/3/3_e02b511e_1585_11de_89dc_0015c5f4d562/blank.gif" style="visibility: hidden; width: 0px; height: 0px; margin:0; padding:0; float:right" width="0" /></a>
Set your widgets to auto-play (see code above "auto_play=1) 1 is on, 0 is off
Place your widget on the top left of your home page (& portal if you have one)
Search for new songs and change them often @ > Entertonement
That code is for a single song player. Additional songs wouldn't get a chance to
play as each new page restarts the player anyway so, in this case, one is enough.
Popup players can play song lists as you browse (after a proactive click-start)
Jump in there and experiment with widget creation and search for new music.
Good luck

Well, if you get a playlist from http://playlist.com and have it set to where it doesn't automatically play, then that wouldn't necessarily be a problem.

Re: How can I post Music in my Forum
daxdax89,
To keep music while browsing: Browse in a new tab.
Try placing a playlist music player on your portal (set to auto-start)
Change "Home & Forums" shortcuts (on Portal) to open in "New tab"
Music will continue to play in 1st tab as you browse forums in 2nd tab.
(hearing music should be up to the visitor (imo) auto-start can be annoying)

How to put our Music in our Forum

- Go to your forum admin and choose Display>general>overall_header_new-Top of the page and configure it like this :
- after you see that picture than put embed code like mines :
<br />
<center><div style="width:800px;"><object width="800" height="235"><param name="movie" value="http://media.imeem.com/pl/OFTKlxgPk8/aus=true/"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://media.imeem.com/pl/OFTKlxgPk8/aus=false/" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="800" height="235" wmode="transparent"></embed></object></div></form></div></center>
<br /> - the red one you can change it with embed you have
- the yellow one you can change it as you wish
- try your embed with this software first!
