my forum is fresbopet.forumotion.com
i just want to ask something..

why bbcodes like :
[url*=blahblahblah][img]blahblah[/img*][/url] (no *)
dont work when posting, and in signatures...??

the url works, but the img code, no.

this is where my users put thier bbcodes, taken from adoptables site :
http://fresbopet.forumotion.com/hatchery-f5/fresbo-pets-click-center-t21.htm

example is :
[im*g]http://www.fresbopet.netau.net/get.php?id=140[/img] (no *)

it will only show a clickable [im*g]http://www.fresbopet.netau.net/get.php?id=140[/img] (no *)

in other free forums, and premium forums, it works.. but in forumotion, not..

Forumotion doesnt support using images which make use of the get method (?id=140), wont work;.

you wont be able to use other bbc cods from other forums.
but forumotions will work in your sig
img tags for any pics you want to add and html works too along with all formotions tags/bbc codes.

i was Lil confused on what your were asking so i hope that helps.

why we can't post clickable pictures?
that when they click the picture () it will lead them to the site ([ur|=***][/url]) where the pic came from..

Have you enabled bbcodes for your profile as well as admin panel?

i think what your trying to do is add a pic of a banner or website then it leads to the site?

well if that's what you want it's like this.
if you click this banner it will bring you to the index of this board

Notice the ?id=140 - that wont work on forumotion, you need to somehow host it locally if possible, or stick it as a widget using html.

EDIt
Host it at iamgeshack or servimg, and use that, it will work since its a static image.

i was under the impression all he wanted to do is have an image with a link leading somewhere in it. in his Sig or post. i'm sorry. but the link you had above that said would not work. did i or did i not make it work? yea i did. and you said you cant do that on forumotion because of the id or what ever. well it seems to be working to me... lol

ZhiichirO post or send the image and the link you want in there and i will give you the code to place in your Sig or post. also be sure your bbc is on once again. for the board and in your profile. then if it don't work. theres a problem.
i mean this is relatively an easy question and should be solved by now.
The image tag/code that Sanket provided is the same thing my examples above.
so unless the bbc is not in the profile or board then there is no reason this should not work. i have text links and image links on all my forums and it works fine.
