Admin Connection Issue Empty Admin Connection Issue

Post by NinjaNt May 25th 2007, 4:30 am

I run the http://dogs-of-war.1talk.net board, and we've actually endured a lot of issues with our forum. Downtime, etc., but our current one is more frustrating.

As of my server's last downtime around 3 pm, I have been unable to access administrative control of my forum. This includes the inability to log onto the administrative account.

There is no warning at all. Whether I have inputted the wrong ID or the wrong password. All it merely does it revert back into the log-in screen as if I have not completed the form.

Changing internet browsers (Mozilla or Firefox) does not fix this issue. My members, however, can access the site no problem. I've even run the utilities from the www.1talk.net site and it still does not have any effect.

Please help me with this issue when you guys get to work. I would really appreciate it.

Apparently my problem wasn't explained well enough.

  1. Members can access the forum without any problems.
  2. The adminstrative account can NOT access the forum. We checked on multiple computers. The first computer was not even able to bypass the log-in phase and would merely return back onto it as if no information had been inputted. The second computer was told that the account was invalid username or password. So we reset the administrative password and the same issue occured repeatedly.
  3. This problem occured for more than 12 hours, and the only effected party of the "Connection Timeout Error" that occured before this error was the adminstrative account.
  4. There was no IP Banning in regards to the administrative computer.
  5. There was no IP Banning in regards to any members computers that would result in this problem.
Hopefully that is in depth as you need me to get to explain the issue at hand.

Originally, I had. I went into utilities and made it so I can change the password. The thing is my password hadn't been changed.

I had the exact same problem on my site but after waiting it out for about half a day, it fixed itself (or a technician did). If your's is like mine then it should be repaired by Forum staff soon! Razz

Its most likely a technical problem in one of the .php files, or the template stored in the file system.
