Solved How do you ban someones ip?

Ok i want to ban thsi spammers ip because he keeps swearing and spamming i found his ip but i dont know how to ban it and when i go on ban control i put the ip in and it syas search so i click on that and it dosnt work then i clcik on save but i dunno if it banned his ip

Please help i want to get rid of thsi terible spamer
